Currently I am a senior scientist at the Rochester Regional Health in the Department of Neurology, in Rochester, NY. I also hold a faculty position as an Assistant Professor in Research Medicine at Stony Brook University, Department of Medicine, Cancer Center, Stony Brook, NY. I have a Ph.D. in Biotechnolgy from Perugia University, Italy. I am a basic and clinical science investigator. I have been doing scientific research for more than 18 years. My research interests are two sided: on the basic science side is cell cycle regulation and sphingolipid biology. On the clinical side, is stroke and vascular neurology.
