Karim Lakehal

 

Karim Lakehal was born in Algiers, Algeria. He earned his Medical Degree in 2005 from the University of Hassan II in Casablanca, Morocco. In 2007, he moved to the United States where he joined a tumor immunology lab as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, his work was mainly focused on determining the optimal form of GITR ligation therapy for the treatment of Melanoma. Currently, he works at the Public Health Research Institute at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he studies host-pathogen interaction in Tuberculosis.
